Softball Drops Two to PSU-Schuylkill

Penn State Greater Allegheny dropped two games against Penn State Schuylkill by the scores of 24-3 and 15-8.

In game 1, center fielder Sam Segiel scored 2 runs and got the only hit for GA on the day.  First baseman Lacey Walters had 2 RBIs, while left fielder Katy Stepansky added the 3rd RBI.  JoLane Jordan suffered the loss for Greater Allegheny, going 5 innings and striking out 1.

In game 2, shortstop Taryn Flaherty led the offense for Greater Allegheny with 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Sam Segiel, third baseman Lauren Clark, second baseman Sydney McMullen, right fielder Kaitlyn Kirkpatrick, and first baseman Lacey Walters also each knocked in a run for GA. Katy Stepansky got the start on the mound for GA, throwing 7 innings while striking out 1 batter.

Penn State Greater Allegheny's record drops to 0-2 overall, and 0-2 in PSUAC play. They will be back in action tomorrow, as they host Penn State Mont Alto at 12:00 PM.
