Women's Basketball Defeats Penn State Wilkes-Barre 58-51, Picks Up Key PSUAC Victory

Lehman, Pa- A double-double from Freshman Forward Christina Floyd (St. John Neumann) led the Greater Allegheny women to a 58-51  victory over Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Floyd scored 16 points, and grabbed 13 rebounds.

  Sophomore Guards Megan Brinkos (McKeesport) and Monica Poupakis (West Mifflin) both also scored in double-figures. Brinkos scored 15, with 10 of them coming from the foul line, where she shot 10-14 on the night.  Poupakis added 14, and also had 3 assists.

  The important PSUAC win vaults GA's record to 6-3 in conference play, and 7-10 overall.  They have a quick turn around, and will face Penn State Hazleton tomorrow, at 1 PM.
