Women's Basketball Falls to Central Methodist 69-48

McKeesport, Pa- Despite their trying efforts, the Penn State Greater Allegheny women's basketball team fell to the Central Methodist Black Bears 69-48 in their final match-up of the 2012 USCAA Basketball Classic.

 Sophomore guard Nakayla Layne (Taylor Allderdice, PA) was able to achieve six points for the blue and white in the first half, alongside sophomore forward Christina Floyd (Sts Neumann-Gorett, PA) and sophomore guard Ciera Hussey (Overbrook, PA) both netting four apiece. Even with their hard work, the Black Bears exploded with 32 points in the first half, ending the 20 minutes of play 32-16.
 
 The Lady Lions picked the game up, doubling their first half scoring to 32, ending the game with 48 points. Sophomore guard Taylor Fulton (West Mifflin, PA) posted 14 points, grabbing up seven rebounds and with two assists. Floyd finished the game with a total of ten points and seven rebounds. Hussey and Layne both posted seven points, Hussey with four rebounds and Layne with seven. GA was able to obtain 17 points off of Central Methodist's 32 turnovers.
 
 The women next compete in the Turkey Classic at Houghton College in New York. They first play Houghton College at 6 p.m. on November 16 then again at 10 a.m. the following morning, November 17, against Geneva College.
