Floyd's Double-Double Leads Women's Basketball to 75-54 Win In Season Opener

McKeesport, Pa- Sophomore forward Christina Floyd (STS Neumann-Gorett, PA) led the team with 16 rebounds and 14 points, assisting to take the season opening win over Pitt-Titusville, 75-54, Friday night at Penn State Greater Allegheny.

   The blue and white jumped out to an early lead, never to give it up through the duration of the game. They continued to swell with the attributions from sophomore Taylor Fulton (West Miffln, PA) who dished out eight assists and 10 points and sophomore Taylor McCallister (Norwin, PA) who posted 10 points and rebounded 16 balls. Greater Allegheny's defense was able to convert 22 points off Pitt turnovers.
 
  Penn State Greater Allegheny (1-0) will finish out their second game tomorrow in the 2012 USCAA Basketball Classic as they play Central Methodist College at 5 p.m.
