GA Women's Hooper Mandi Johnston Recognized by USCAA and PSUAC

McKeesport, Pa. - Through her 78 point and 20 rebound week, sophomore guard Mandi Johnston (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) was recognized by both the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and the Penn State University Athletic Conference for her efforts toward the Penn State Greater Allegheny women's basketball team.

In the 86-74 drop over Butler County Community College on Wednesday, Johnston posted a double-double with 29 points and ten assists while posting 13 shots from the floor.

Through the 71-68 victory over Southern State on Saturday, the sophomore posted another double-double, this time contributing 23 points and ten rebounds with four assists and a steal.

Saturday brought the 76-55 draining under Clark State in day two of the Southern State Community College Tip-Off Tournament, where Mandi put forth 26 points, four rebounds, two steals and an assist.

The guard totaled 78 points, 20 boards, 15 assists and five rebounds through the 1-2 week for Greater Allegheny.

Johnston currently holds quite a few standings in the USCAA, including first in both overall points (187) and field goals (73-for-176), third with points per game (23.4) and second with assists (39). The guard is holding down second in the PSUAC with points per game.
