Lemont Furnace, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's basketball team dropped their third-straight Penn State University Athletic Conference game to Penn State Fayette, Tuesday night, by a score of 91-65.

Junior guard Mandi Johnston (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) was the first to score in the game with two points from the foul line before Fayette escalated to a 9-2 lead. Freshman guard Jayla Ellis (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) answered with a jumper and a three-pointer as Johnston added a jumper herself, Fayette in front 11-9.

Freshman guard Ronnie Upsher (Pittsburgh, Pa./McKeesport) came back with two points before freshman guard Jordan Kosienski put down a pair of free-throws before Ellis posted a jumpshot, wrapping up the first quarter with the home team in front 22-15.

Johnston came back in the second with a much needed trey before Ellis put up points in the paint. Upsher polished off four free-throws and a layup as freshman forward Justice Mitchell (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward) made a layup, Roaring Lions 37-28. Ellis made a jumpshot and three-pointer before Upsher made a layup to close out the first half, Fayette leading 43-35.

Mitchell and Upsher comprised of the majority of the third quarter scoring summary with twelve points before Johnston finished with two foul shots, Fayette in front 69-49 with just ten minutes remaining.

Fayette continued to score as Johnston took over with 13 points herself. Ellis posted a layup and Upsher slashed a free-throw as Fayette was out too far, finishing the game 91-65 Fayette.

Johnston put up 22 points, four rebounds and a steal as the guard completed 100% (11-of-11) of her free-throws attempted. Upsher denoted 17 points, seven boards, three blocks and two steals while Ellis posted 16 points, five rebounds and a steal. Sophomore forward Andrea Burroughs (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) pulled down ten rebounds as Mitchell added eight points, five rebounds and a steal. 

As a team, Greater Allegheny was out-rebounded 42-35 as the Lions managed 76.9% (20-of-26) from the foul line with just 21 buckets from the floor. The Lions added 26 points in the paint, ten points on second-chance and six points off second-chance.

Greater Allegheny (5-13, 3-9 PSUAC) goes on the road to Central Penn, Thursday night, for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
