McKeesport, Pa. - In a complete team effort, the Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team went on to defeat the Westmoreland College Wolfpack, 5-1, Thursday afternoon.

Within the first eighty seconds of the game, senior forward Kristina Dague (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) received a pass from sophomore forward Gaby Selmi (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Owen-Withee) and senior midfielder Melissa Loftus (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) and put the ball in the left upper ninety of the net, 1-0 GA.

Just before the twenty minute mark, Loftus served Dague a ball as she hammered it off the post and behind the goalies hands, 2-0 GA. Not long after, sophomore midfielder Pawpar Heat (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) dished the ball to Dague for another before the half, shooting it over the goalies hands and into the next, 3-0 Lions.

Just two minutes into the new half of action, Selmi and senior midfielder Lauren Antosik (McKeesport, Pa./Oakland Catholic) moved the ball to Loftus faked the goalie and put it in the left side of the net, improving the score to 4-0.

With time winding down, senior defender Jess Manfredi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) dribbled up the field and dished the ball to Heat, who put the ball past the goalies hands and capped the Lion scoring drive to 5-0.

Less than four minutes left in regulation, the Wolfpack managed to get on the board off of a penalty kick, ending the game by a 5-1 margin.

Freshman goalkeeper Alexa Byers (Spring Creek, Pa./Corry Area High) notched her first collegiate win in net, as the first-year Lion faced nine shots on goal, stopping eight.
