Women's Volleyball Suffers 3-0 Setback at Pitt-Greensburg

Greensburg, Pa- Penn State Greater Allegheny women's volleyball traveled to Pitt-Greensburg for a non-conference match, but came up short in a 3-0 (13-25, 12-25 14-25) defeat.

  All seven GA players landed a kill on the night, led by sophomore Alyssa Finocchi's (Baldwin, PA) four.  Finocchi also had three service aces and two digs, while accumulating three total blocks.  Sophmores Taylor McCallister (Norwin, PA), Christina Floyd (St. John Neumann, PA), and Corinne Wilson (Bethel Park, PA), as well as freshman Haley Worden (Madonna, PA), each recorded two kills.  Floyd added three blocks and two digs, while Worden notched 11 assists. 

  The non-conference loss drops Greater Allegheny's overall record to 5-9.  The GA women return to action this Saturday, October 6 for a PSUAC match against Penn State Du Bois.  Match is set to begin at 12 PM.
