Greater Allegheny Volleyball's Finocchi and Franklin Earn USCAA Accolades

Canton, N.Y. - Penn State Greater Allegheny volleyball student-athletes junior Alyssa Finocchi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) and sophomore Kayla Franklin (Detroit, Mich./Thurston) were honored by the USCAA for the contributions to their team this past 2013-14 season.

Finocchi earned the 2013 USCAA Volleyball Honorable Mention All-American award after another excellent season in the books. Finocchi finished her season of play with 225 kills, 12 kills, 39 aces, 209 digs, and 70 total blocks. This recognition is national for those student-athletes who withheld outstanding performance on the court.

Franklin earned herself the 2013 USCAA Women's Volleyball National All-Academic award. This award goes to those student-athletes who are upperclassmen and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 of higher over the course of their academic career.
