McKeesport, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's volleyball team took three matches by scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-21 over Westmoreland County Community College. Wednesday night.

Greater Allegheny came out hard in the first set, taking the first four points. GA swelled the score 10-3 before WCCC started their comeback. WCCC came within three before Greater Allegheny pulled away to take the first victory, 25-15.

Senior middle hitter Alyssa Finocchi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) contributed four kills, three digs and a block solo through the first bout. Sophomore setter Adrielle Brisbon (Fort Washington, Md./Friendly) went 1-for-1 on kills alongside dishing out twelve assists. Freshman middle-hitter Cheyenne Boulware (Centreville, Va./Centreville) added three kills to the teams efforts.

The second set saw back-and-forth battle between the two teams. Sophomore defensive specialist Brianna Audette (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) completed two kills on two attempts along with a service ace. Brisbon downed two kills while assisting seven others. The setter also earned a block assist and a dig. Senior middle hitter Christina Floyd (Philadelphia, Pa./Sts. Neumann-Goretti) added one kill with her three block assists. Greater Allegheny came out ahead of Westmoreland County CC, 25-19.

Another close set, Greater Allegheny and WCCC battled it out. Freshman right side Laura Vazquez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cupey Maria Montessori) boosted her team with three kills, one ace and one assist. Freshman right side Emily Taylor (Aliquippa, Pa./Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter) lifted her team through the set with two kills, three digs and a block assist. 

Brisbon finished with 28 assists and four kills on five total attempts, making that an 80% kill percentage. Finocchi dumped eleven kills through three sets alongside six digs and five total blocks. Vazquez got down for 15 digs and five kills, boosting her teams efforts.

Greater Allegheny (9-4, 2-1 PSUAC) goes to Penn State Beaver on Saturday as the teams look to face Penn State University Athletic Conference opponents Penn State Schyulkill at 2 p.m. and Penn State Brandywine at 4 p.m.
