Wilkes-Barre, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's volleyball team went 2-0 over Penn State Worthington-Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Saturday, in Penn State University Athletic Conference bouts.

In game one over Worthington-Scranton, Greater Allegheny took all three sets by scores of 25-9, 25-12 and 25-18.

Senior middle-hitter Alyssa Finocchi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) completed 14 kills through the contest, totaling seven total blocks and five digs. Sophomore setter Adrielle Brisbon (Fort Washington, Md./Friendly) dished out 24 kills to assist in the Worthington-Scranton overtake.

Freshman middle hitter Cheyenne Boulware (Centreville, Pa./Centreville) hammered down six kills as senior middle hitter Christina Floyd (Philadelphia, Pa./Sts. Neumann-Goretti) achieved five kills along with six service aces, seven total blocks (five block solo) and four digs. Freshman right side Laura Vazquez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cupey Maria Montessori) placed eight service aces to contribute to the swell in the PSUAC match, increasing Greater Allegheny's conference record at to five.

Game two saw competition from Penn State Wilkes-Barre, where Greater Allegheny took the three sets by tallies of 25-14, 25-23 and 25-11. 

Freshman right side Emily Taylor (Aliquippa, Pa./Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter) came through with seven kills and two service aces to boost the score. Finocchi added nine kills as Brisbon assisted 18. Sophomore defensive specialist Brianna Audette (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) got down fox six digs and up for four block solos to pave the way for Greater Allegheny's final conference victory on the day, improving their record to 13-7, 6-4 PSUAC.

Greater Allegheny stays on the road for their next to conference match-ups, as the women travel to Penn State Hazleton. Greater Allegheny will see Penn State Lehigh Valley at 12:00 p.m. and Penn State Hazleton around 2 p.m.
