DuBois, Pa. - Through three sets of action, the Penn State Greater Allegheny women's volleyball team posted their first victory of the 2015-16 season over Penn State DuBois by tallies of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-20.

Through the sets, sophomore middle hitter Laura Vazquez Diaz (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cupey Maria Montessori) posted eleven kills alongside eleven digs, three service aces and one dig. Sophomore libero Tori Johnston (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) earned ten kills with five sevice aces and five digs.

Freshman setter Courtney Odell Shadd (Hanover Park, Ill./Bartlett) dished out 18 assists with six digs, three service aces and one kill. Freshman middle hitter Chelsy Ware (Pittsburgh, Pa./Imani Christian Academy) completed two kills on three total attacks, while getting down for six digs, one service ace and one block solo. Freshman outside hitter Andrea Burroughs (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) assisted her team with two block solos.

Greater Allegheny (1-5, 1-3 PSUAC) looks to continue Penn State University Athletic Conference action, Tuesday night, as Penn State New Kensington comes to Wunderley Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
