Subosits Leads Cross Country to Third-Place Finish
Wilkesbarre, Pa- The Penn State Greater Allegheny Cross Country team finished third out of ten teams, led by Sophomore Peter Subosits' (Upper St. Clair) 5th place finish. The meet consisted of 97 individual runners.
Subosits finished the 5.1 mile race with a time of 29:04. Fellow Sophomores Chris Covington (Surrattsville) and Philip Hromanik (West Mifflin) placed 18th and 19th, respectively. Covington finished with a time of 32:57, while Hromanik finished at 32:58. Freshman Brandon Jacobs (South Allegheny) also competed for GA, and placed 11th, with a time of 30:23.
With the strong performance, the Penn State Greater Allegheny Cross Country team now owns a 7-2 record in PSUAC play. Next up for GA, an October 1st trip to Pitt-Greensburg, with the meet beginning at 11:00 AM.
