Cross Country Gears Up for PSUAC Championships
McKeesport, Pa- Following a strong season that consisted of three 3rd place finishes and one 2nd place finish, the Greater Allegheny cross country team turns its sights to this weekend's PSUAC Championship. Saturday's race will be hosted by Penn State Brandywine with a start time of 1 PM.
In all the GA 3rd place finishes, they finished 2nd among PSUAC participants- a fact that should predict a strong showing this Saturday. Sophomore Brandon Jacobs (South Allegheny, PA) has consistently paced the Greater Allegheny runners, with four top-10 finishes out of their five total races. Freshman Rob Meier (Penn-Trafford, PA) has also raced very well for GA, placing in the top-10 in every event this season.
A strong team performance is expected, but equally strong individual performances could qualify Greater Allegheny runners for the USCAA National Championship. The National Championship will take place on November 8 and 9.
