Greater Allegheny Cross Country Races in Pitt-Greensburg Invitational

Greensburg, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny cross country team competed in the Pitt-Greensburg Invitational, Saturday morning

The men's 8k saw a total of 72 runners, one of which was Greater Allegheny freshman Codie Buglar (Elizabeth, Pa./Yough). Buglar placed 47th with a time of 32:37, a personal best for the freshman.

Greater Allegheny's next meet will be the Penn State University Athletic Conference Championship at University Park next Saturday.

"Sophomore Melissa Loftus (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) and Trimble are aiming for All-Conference honors for the women alongside Buglar going for All-Conference accolades as well. The women's team competition should be a close contest as any one of the four schools having a shot at winning the PSUAC Championship, including our women student-athletes."

On Saturday, October 11th, the men's race is an 8k, which is set to begin at 10 a.m. The women's race is a 6k, which aims to start at 11 a.m.
