Greater Allegheny Women's and Men's Cross Country Compete at Wilkes-Barre Invitational

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's and men's cross country teams raced in the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Invitational, Saturday afternoon.

In the women's competition, the lone Greater Allegheny competitor freshman Casey Wash (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) placed 23rd overall at a career best time of 23:16.

The Greater Allegheny men's team raced without two of their teammates, due to confliction over the weekend. Freshman Derek Pribanic (Penn-Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford) was the first of the GA men to cross the finish line, coming in 9th overall at a time of 31:50. Coming in 13th for Greater Allegheny was sophomore Codie Buglar (Elizabeth, Pa./Yough) with a time of 32:40.
 
Sophomore Andrew Bradley (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) finished in 15th place with an overall time of 32:50 as freshman Michael Risnear (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) came in 18th with a time of 32:53. Freshman Haotian Qi (Jinan, China/Lakeshore High) wrapped up the men's competition for Greater Allegheny as he finished 37th with an overall time of 47:28.

The Greater Allegheny men's cross country team finished 3rd in the team standings.

GA Cross Country looks onward to Saturday, October 3rd, as both the men and women travel to Westmoreland County Community College to rave Frostburg State. The women's race begins at 9 a.m.
