GA Men's Cross Country Competes in Carnegie Mellon Invitational

Pittsburgh, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny men's cross country team went on the road to compete in the Division I Carnegie Mellon 8K Invitational, Saturday morning.

Freshman Ellis Massiah (Waterford, Ct./Waterford) was the first finisher for Greater Allegheny, as the speedster crossed the finish line at 30:42, averaging a 6:08 mile. Just after him was sophomore Andrew Bradley (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin), who completed the race in 31:07, averaging a 6:13 mile.

Freshman Derek Pribanic (Penn-Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford) finished the 8K in 33:17, with an average of 6:39/mi, while sophomore Codie Buglar (Elizabeth, Pa./Yough) completed the race in 33:46.

Freshman Michael Risnear (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) wrapped up the day for the Greater Allegheny student-athletes, as he crossed the finish line at 35:30.

The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's and men's cross country teams look onward to the Penn State University Athletic Conference Championships at University Park, Saturday October 17th.
