Men's XC Makes Their Place in the Greater Allegheny Record Books After the USCAA National Championship

Lakeland, Fla. - After the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's cross country teams performance in the 2015 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Cross Country National Championship, the group made GA history with their 11th overall finish as well as the 25th individual finish for freshman Michael Burchlaw (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills).

Burchlaw was the first to cross the finish line for Greater Allegheny, as he completed the 8K in 29:33, good enough for 25th place. Freshman Ellis Massiah (Waterford, Ct./Waterford) was not long behind him, as he came in at 32nd overall in a time of 30:14.

Sophomore Andrew Bradley (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) crossed the finish line in 33:24, placing 76th. Freshman Michael Risnear (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) placed 83rd overall in a time of 34:29. Freshman Derek Pribanic (Jeannette, Pa./Penn-Trafford) raced to 97th place in a time of 35:20 as sophomore Codie Buglar (Elizabeth, Pa./Yough) wrapped up the Greater Allegheny competitors in 99th place with a time of 35:40.

With the efforts of Greater Allegheny, the men ranked 11th overall, the highest of any Penn State campus competitors. The accolade of being 11th in the nation is the highest ranking recorded in Penn State Greater Allegheny history. Before that, the 2012-13 team completed the race in 13th overall.

Burchlaw's showout was also the best individual ranking in school history, as he completed the race in 25th place.
