Greater Allegheny Cross Country Competes at the Frostburg State Invitational

Frostburg, Md. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny men's cross country team raced at the Frostburg State Invitational, Saturday morning.

The 8k began rainy as sophomore Ellis Massiah (Waterford, Ct./Waterford) finished first for Greater Allegheny in a time of 33:25.15, a time good enough for 39th place. Just two runners behind him was freshman Fernando Leira, as he crossed in 41st with a time of 33:35.25.

Sophomore Michael Risnear (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) wrapped up the day for the Lions, as he crossed the finish line in 60th place in a time of 35:25.13.

Greater Allegheny looks forward to next weekend, as the men are set to travel to the Slippery Rock Invitational, Saturday. The race is set to begin at 10 a.m.
