Greater Allegheny XC Competes at Slippery Rock Invitational

Slippery Rock, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny men's cross country team raced at the Slippery Rock Mack Cooper Invitational, Saturday morning.

Sophomore Ellis Massiah (Waterford, Ct./Waterford) was the first to cross the finish line this morning, as the second-year runner placed 56th overall in a time of 30:12. Freshman Fernando Leira (Madrid, Spain/Great Mills (Md.)) was not long after him, as he wrapped up the 8K in 68th place, 33:53.

The final finisher for the Lions was sophomore Michael Risnear (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford), as he placed 72nd at 35:03.

The Penn State Greater Allegheny cross country team looks forward to the Penn State University Athletic Conference Championships on October 29th. Race is set for 1 p.m..
