Mckeesport, PA- Women's basketball has hard loss after Thanksgiving break to Penn State Greater Allegheny.
Fayette Women's Basketball was in the lead heading into the second half with a score of 34-25. The second half changed all of that when PSU Greater Allegheny turned on the gas, outscoring Fayette 19-11 in the third quarter.
"[The] team played hard, [and] had some fundamental mistakes that hurt us. We ran out of gas coming back from Holiday break."
Taylor McCormick played the full 40 minutes, scoring 28 points. Abby Bickerton had a huge defensive game, achieving 18 rebounds. Takiah Cheathon scored 16 points for Fayette.
The Fayette Nittany Lions, now 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference, will face off against Penn State York(5-3, 2-2) on Friday night in a Holiday Special game at 6:00 P.M.
