VB has a Heartbreaking 3-0 loss to GA

Lemont Furnace, PA - Volleyball was swept Saturday afternoon by Penn State Greater Allegheny on Senior Recognition Day.

Fayette Volleyball suffered a hard loss on Saturday against Penn State Greater Allegheny at home in a second seed match up. Although a tough loss can bring emotions to a high, Fayette Volleyball was already experiencing that due to Senior Recogition prior to the match. Graduating from the Fayette Lady Lions will be rightside hitter Abigail Bradley-Rash, defensive specialist Makenzie Hall and defensive specialist Meghan Goodnight.

Coach Joel Wingard has nice thoughts to share about each senior:

"Watching Abby grow this year in every facet of her game has been an honor. She always plays with so much attention to detail and always gives 100%."

"Meghan has that dog in her. Whether it bee her striving to help her team enery or improve in her select skill of the week. She has grown as a teammate big time this year and I'm so proud of that."

"Kenzie is our quiet but powerful force. Her stature is misleading because she plays huge constantly. She's one of the best players I have ever seen reading hitters and that is saying alot."
