Men's Basketball Falls to 2-2 in the PSUAC

McKeesport, Pa- A double-double from junior forward Aaron Byrd (Upper Malboro, MD) wasn't enough for the Greater Allegheny men's basketball team, as Penn State Worthington Scranton used a big second half to earn a 68-56 win.

Scranton controlled the paint and pace of the game throughout, outscoring GA 44-28 from close range and 18-6 on the break.  Byrd earned his double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, while freshman guard Jeremy McMunn (Pittsburgh, PA) used three three-pointers to help him tally 13 points.  Sophomore forward Patrick Malcolm (Washington D.C.) added two points of his own, to go along with nine rebounds.

The loss drops Greater Allegheny's record to 4-6 overall and 2-2 in the PSUAC.  They will return to the court December 11 for an 8 PM, PSUAC game, at Penn State Beaver.
