Men's Basketball Sitting in 13th Through Week Nine Coaches Polls

Newport News, Va. - With action through February 12th, the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's basketball team holds down 13th place in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Men's Basketball Division II Coaches Poll through week nine of action with an overall record of 10-12, 8-5 PSUAC.

Since the 12th, Greater Allegheny has secured their first playoff berth in ten seasons with a 2-0 conference record with the 84-82 overtime thriller at Hazleton and the 79-75 victory at Schuylkill. The men are slated for their final regular season contest on Monday afternoon. Playoff game to be announced for Wednesday February 17th.

Greater Allegheny slipped this week to 13th after being tied for 11th through week eight.

On the list for the sixth time this season, the men sat in 10th for week six and seven. The men started receiving votes in week three, moved to 20th in week four and then to 11th in week five.

GA fell at bit to the third Penn State University Athletic Conference seed, just after Penn State Mont Alto and now Penn State Fayette, where Mont Alto sits in third for the sixth-straight week and Fayette jumps out in front tied for 10th place.

With 278 votes, Greater Allegheny is now sitting actually one game lower after Saturday afternoon's Penn State Mont Alto drop at home, 84-72.

With 267 votes, Greater Allegheny is now holding down an overall record of 12-12, 10-5 PSUAC to head into the final game of the regular season.
